Aalokam is excited to announce the 3rd Annual We R Dancing Dance Festival on
October 4, 5 and 6th 2024
Initially launched in 2022 by Bharathi Penneswaran, the founder of Aalokam, the vision of the festival was to amplify, support, and celebrate the artistic expression of the Indian Classical dance community in the United States of America, and to inspire the next generation of dancers

"We R Dancing," Traditionally a two-day event, this year we are excited to expand to a third day, specially curated by Aditi Dhruv and Bharathi Penneswaran. This edition is a heartfelt tribute to the pioneers and peers who have not only paved the way but also nurtured the vibrant South Asian diaspora in New York. Their contributions have helped cultivate a flourishing community, one that continues to grow and thrive with each passing year.
